Worship for World Communion Sunday, this Sunday, October 1, will be at 10:00 am AT TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH
Trinity Lutheran is across the street from Tipton UMC church. Sunday School is still 8:45-9:45 in our church building – then we will go across the street for Worship and Communion, with fellowship coffee following, also at Trinity Lutheran Church.
A few logistics, if you are wondering: Tipton UMC will provide two people to help serve communion, our Chancel Choir will sing during offering, and we will provide paper for bulletins as well as part of the treats, cups and napkins for Fellowship Coffee. All cash offerings will go to Trinity ELCA with our appreciation for them hosting our congregation. Any checks written to Tipton UMC can be put in Trinity’s offering plate and will be separated and received by our financial secretary. Reminder that you can pay online if that is easier for you.
Pastor Beth Wartick, at Trinity, and I are very excited for this opportunity to celebrate our unity in Christ. Galatians 3:26-28 reads, “for in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith. As many of you as were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is no longer Jew or Greek, there is no longer slave or free, there is no longer male and female; for all of you are one in Christ Jesus.”
I look forward to worship on Sunday with many Tipton UMC and Trinity ELCA friends, my sisters and brothers in Christ. See you then!
